Breastfeeding Peer support

I'm so pleased to have finally been given a date to start a breastfeeding peer support/counselling course at my local Baby Cafe (The one where I used to go to a lot when feeding Y-M) I'm really looking forward to being able to learn more, and offer support to those who have difficulties feeding and knowing options. I cannot stress enough that its each to their own and personal choice. I just personally love breastfeeding, and would love to promote the facts and the truth behind it all. (it's not about having a baby constantly attached to your boob, resulting in a clingy baby and saggy boobs) quite the opposite infact, and also leads onto my interest and belief into attachment parenting.

i'll speak more about my interest in that in another post!

I'm starting this in the second week of February, and i''l be sure to post my journey here!

I've also offered to photograph at the course, to help raise awareness and promote the beauty of it all!

Wooden activity door

I was meaning to post this from Christmas last year, I saw an activity door on Pinterest and thought my girls would love it, especially Y-M as she's a very inquisitive two year old (who loves keys, locks, and anything domestic really, and wooden toys! So I showed the image to their Grampy Butch (My Dad) and he said he'll made one for Christmas - And even though he's a craftsman I was SO surprised at how much he'd put into it. I love it! and so does Y-M! So here it is...

Days like these

I love days like these, when you're getting things sorted, battling the washing pile, baking some shortbread, all whilst enjoying time with my adorable (but cheeky) daughters.

Had a little stressful moment this morning with Y-M... She refused to wear her gloves and coat in the garden which led to her not going outside as she just got over eyeing unwell! We'll try again later! And little H woke from her nap all chirpy and ready to play!

Wednesday-Friday are our playgroups days, so Monday & Tuesdays I aim to have the days at home getting things done and playing with the girls making play dough, in the garden, playing barbies, setting up arts & crafts etc. will blog a post about home-made play dough soon.

We had a brilliant weekend with the snow! The girls really enjoyed it (almost as much as we did!) here's a photo of them on the way back...

A bit of a blah blog post really but just thought I'd not it down.

Less of the mind full and more mindful!

So our household are trying SO hard to declutter & arrange our house so it makes life's little things more delightful!

We have been re-painting old wooden toys that were Y-M's for H's first birthday in may! I think it's even more precious to have old toys handed down and even more so when you decorate them yourself for your child!

I have also been practising my knitting & making Y-M a blanket for her dolly...
